Ferry to East Looe

This is a bit less grand than it sounds.  As you can see they are little boats that pop back and forwards between East and West Looe.  It’s run by a group of 4 or 5 locals who provide a friendly and well run service.  They will also do fishing trips and trips round Looe Island if requested.

It’s 50p per person per trip. I think the most they can carry is about 10 or 12 people – but they don’t wait for it to be full before they go.  They are quite happy to ferry just the one person but you can’t blame them if they loiter for a few seconds so see if they can get a couple of extra passengers.

The ferry points are marked on the Looe Map.  If you are walking down to the quayside from the cottage, the steps to the ferry are just by the tables and chairs that belong to the “Tasty Corner”

We love this service and use it all the time (when the tide is in!!)

I’ll add some more pictures in due course.
